DIY Drum Practice Pad

Today I will be showing you how to make a do-it-yourself drum practice pad. Not exactly Vic Firth quality, but better than that old one you found laying in the dumpster.

MATERIALS NEEDED:
Saw- Any kind will work, but a band saw would make your life easier.
60 Grit Sandpaper
120 Grit Sandpaper (Optional)
220 Grit Sandpaper
Mousepad- One without a plastic top
Glue

Use the saw to cut the wood to about the size and shape of your mouse pad, leaving a little bit of slack

Sand down the sides and edges with a 60 grit to make it to your mouse pad's shape.

Using a 120 or 220 grit, sand the sides/edges and the bottom, but don't sand the top (where the mouse pad will sit), it provides something for the glue to stick on.

Once you finished sanding to your liking, you can paint it, or make a design, or whatever you want.

Use glue (I just used some shoe-repair glue for this, but you can use anything really) to glue the mouse pad onto the wood.

Here are some pictures (don't criticize for my job, I know, I did it quickly, you'll do better)
